The Redskins announced earlier today that they were moving star Tight End Jordan Reed to the injured reserve list, ending his season. Jordan Reed was never really able to get into a rhythm this season, as a nagging toe injury bothered him early on, and a hamstring injury kept him sidelined for most of the season. It's very disheartening the way things played out for Reed this season, he is a pro bowl caliber talent when he can stay healthy. Jordan Reed has now missed 28 games in his 5 season career. Moving forward, I think Jordan Reed will need to emphasize being more careful with what he does in the off season to prepare himself for game action. I know most of you fans would like to see Reed traded, but it's just not going to happen. However, I wouldn't mind seeing them renegotiate that 5-year, $46 million dollar contract. With that being said, Jordan Reed is an amazing talent, and I'm never going to lose faith in him. He has been my favorite player to watch for quite some time, and was a huge role model of mine when I was playing football in high school. You have to remember that these players are humans, too.
